How WHT Electrical collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us through this website.

When you send an enquiry through this website we collect the details you type into the form: your name, your mobile number, your email address if you give one, your area or suburb, the service you select, what you tell us about the problem, and any photograph you choose to upload.
If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email instead, we hold whatever you send us in that message, along with your number or address.
We also collect ordinary visit information through website analytics: the pages you view, roughly where you are, and which browser and device you use. This tells us how the website is found and used. It is not used to identify you personally.
We process your information because you have given it to us in order to be contacted, and because processing it is necessary to prepare or carry out work for you. You may withdraw your consent at any time, although we may still need to keep records of work already done.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business — our website host, our email provider and our website analytics provider — and with WhatsApp when you choose to message us there. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
A photograph you upload or send is used to assess the work.
WHT also photographs completed work, and those photographs may be used on this website and on WHT’s social media. Where a property, vehicle or person is identifiable, we only publish the photograph with permission. If a photograph of your property is already published and you would like it removed, email info@whtelectrical.co.za and we will take it down.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for 12 months. Records of work carried out, and any certificate issued, are kept for as long as we need them for compliance, warranty and tax purposes, which for tax records is at least five years.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also object to how we use it. Write to info@whtelectrical.co.za and we will respond.
